Survival in the New Millennium is an
amazing book written by Don R. Dooley about the future. According to the author in
his new millennium book, one may be doomed if one does not understand the future. He
states that the survival of life in the universe is a purpose of high priority which makes
the understanding of the universe in which we live likely the most important purpose of
life. Don Dooley contrasts a highly functional world as it could be with history of the present world, now having become highly dysfunctional with little hope. |
The author focuses on solutions to our social problems and which solutions would put mankind in control of its own destiny in this new millennium book.
He focuses on causes rather than symptoms of our social dilemmas and presents solutions worthy of careful study for their implementation. The book, overall presents a serious message about the future -- yours and mine. Study the author's message to understand how we can give correction to our dysfunctional world by realizing how a vision of a desirable world view can direct necessary changes.
Dooley's message from his new millennium book seems to be that the purpose and meaning of life is ours and only ours to choose. Survival to the author, is not something that is given, but is something humankind must make plans for. The lasting message is that the control of mankind's destiny is in our hands and that we can survive if we so plan.
